Here at Ardmore always aim be a cat friendly clinic!
We are aware that visits to the vets can be stressful for felines. To help keep the stress levels to a minimum we have our cat cube waiting area behind reception. These are secluded boxes away from the hustle and bustle of the main waiting room. We also have our quiet room which can be used for nervous feline patients, please ask if this is available.

We provide muslins sprayed with a calming spray which we can drape over your cats carrier to aid with calming prior to the appointment. Please ask at reception for these.

Our Sudbury branch has a dedicated fully air conditioned cat ward opened in 2012 for inpatients and surgical day patients. Within the ward we have calming pheromone difusers, "feline forts" for the cats to hide within and a radio with calming music. All out cat kennels are raised off the ground as cats feel safer at higher levels. We have a wide range of bedding, toys, food and bowls available for inpatients/surgery patients but we do always welcome your own items from home to keep things familiar for your pets.

Each patient is treated as an individual, tailoring our approach and handling accordingling. For example you may notice we spend time taking cat carriers apart as this is often a more positive experience for cats to be brought out of the carrier on to the consult table. All our consult rooms have a variety of cat treats, especially lick-e-liks which we know cats love!
